Error Codes
Every tool error carries a code and an instruction. Report an unlisted code so the integration contract can be updated.

date_range_too_large | Narrow the range to 6 months or less and call again. |
invalid_date_range | Set from to a date on or before to, then call again. |
date_range_required | Provide both from and to, or use a relative window instead. |
invalid_date | Use YYYY-MM-DD for both bounds. |
invalid_identifier | Use an identifier returned by another tool on this server. |
bad_cursor | Call the tool again without a cursor to restart pagination. |
UNAUTHORIZED | This API key is not valid. Check the key configured for this connection. |
FORBIDDEN | This API key is not scoped for that product. Ask the corporate to reissue it with the needed scope. |
initiating_user_required | This key has no integration user configured. Ask the corporate to set one on the key. |
rate_limited | Wait before retrying — you are calling faster than this key is allowed to. |
not_found | Check the identifier. If the payment was created seconds ago it may still be queued. |
upstream_unavailable | The payments API did not respond. Wait a few seconds and retry once. |
invalid_api_key_error | This API key is not valid. Check the key configured for this connection. |
insufficient_permissions_error | This API key is not scoped for that product. Ask the corporate to reissue it with the needed scope. |
object_not_found_error | Check the identifier. If the payment was created seconds ago it may still be queued. |
invalid_parameters_error | Check the request parameters and field formats against the API schema, then call again. |
idempotency_key_already_used_error | This Idempotency-Key was already used with a different request payload. Generate a new key. |
idempotency_key_in_progress_error | A request with this Idempotency-Key is still processing. Wait a few seconds and retry. |
rate_limited_error | Wait before retrying — you are calling faster than this key is allowed to. |
invalid_operation_error | The requested operation cannot be performed in the current state. |
internal_server_error | The payments API encountered an internal error. Wait a few seconds and retry once. |
